With their 143 points, Kadybugs is now the proud record-holder of the 26th-highest weekly point total in league history.
Kadybugs were led to their 69 point victory by a 28 point effort from Victor Cruz, who beat the New York Jets defense for 164 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD. With this performance, Cruz was the number 1 ranked wide receiver for week 16. They also got help from a 20 point effort from Julio Jones, who beat the New Orleans Saints defense for 128 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.
"We finally got the monkey off our backs," Kadybugs coach Robert Dehart said.
Whacko Whackers were helped out in a losing cause by a 21 point effort from Denarius Moore, who got by the Kansas City Chiefs defense for 94 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD. With this performance, Moore was the number 5 ranked wide receiver for week 16. They also got help from a 15 point effort from Frank Gore, who got by the Seattle Seahawks defense for 83 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 13 receiving yards.
"We came up a little short," Whacko Whackers coach Tomme Actkinson said.
This brings the record for Kadybugs to 9-4, and drops Whacko Whackers to a record of 6-7.
